Under inflation is the leading cause of tire failure, because tires are more prone to damage when they are not properly inflated. Check the tire pressure, only when the tires are cold. About 1psi of tire pressure will escape every month under normal use. DO NOT exceed the maximum inflation pressure molded on the sidewall of the tire. Also, beware that the front and rear tires on some vehicle have separate recommended inflation pressures.
